Robotics and Automation Prototypes

A prototype is a critical key in developing reliable robotics and automation systems. We specialize in producing precision prototypes, that allow engineers and designers to test functionality. Using advanced CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, vacuum casting, and 3D printing, Yuejing Machinery manufactures components with exact tolerances to meet demanding automation requirements.

Case Studies

This aluminum alloy caster frame was manufactured by CNC machining. To support the robot’s movement, the part achieves tight tolerances for a perfect fit with the wheel assembly, ensuring stability and smooth speeds.

These aluminum parts were CNC-machined to meet the exacting demands of automated machinery. Each component features tight tolerances, smooth surfaces, and precise hole alignment, ensuring seamless integration with other mechanical assemblies.

Built to the Tolerances Robotics Demand

Why tight tolerances matter

Robotics and automation prototypes require parts with tight tolerances to ensure assembly without gaps. Bearing fits, gear meshes, arm, and joint alignments. Our engineering team reviews every part to meet those requirements.

5-axis CNC machining & CMM inspection

To meet the demanding conditions of industrial automation robotcs custom parts, we have precision 5 Axis CNC machining and CMM test equipment, to ensure the high tolerance requirements.

In-house surface finishing

We offer different surface treatments such as anodizing, powder coating, and polishing etc. These not only improve wear resistance and durability, but also elevate the visual quality of the components.

Robotics Prototyping & Low-Volume Production

At Yuejing Machinery, we provide custom robotics and automation parts with multiple manufacturing processes, from single-piece prototypes to low- volume production.

Frequently Asked Questions About Robotics and Automation Prototyping

Within a single batch, we keep the same process. The same parts are machined on the same CNC machining equipment, using the same parameters and toolpaths. Inspect each part before shipment. Across different orders, when a repeat part comes in, we reuse the saved parameters from the previous run, so a part reordered months later still matches the original batch.

Our general tolerance follows ISO 2768, suitable for CNC-machined metal and plastic parts. For critical features such as bearing bores, shafts, and mating faces, we can hold tight tolerances down to ±0.005 mm, verified by CMM inspection. We’ll manufacture the parts as per your drawing requirements and ensure your robotics parts are perfectly assembled.

We have a range of metal and plastic materials for robotics and automation prototypes. Such as aluminum 6061 and 7075 for higher-strength components, steel and stainless steel for high-load parts. For engineering plastics, POM (Acrylic)/Nylon suits for gear parts, PEEK handles high temperatures, and ABS is used for housing in common.

Yes, our engineering team reviews drawings and makes a Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) based on your design. We’ll recommend the right material and process for each part based on load, weight target, and operating environment. Think of us as an engineering partner, not just a prototype machine shop.

Yes, a set robot typically needs CNC-machined structural parts, sheet metal enclosures, vacuum casting components, and surface finishing. We provide all of these in-house, CNC machining for precision metal key parts, sheet metal fabrication for frames and control cabinets, and vacuum casting for housings and covers.

Yes, we support the low-volume runs after the prototype is approved. Using the same processes, and the quality as same as the prototype. Accordingly, we may discuss and use other ways to reduce costs as the quantity increases.
